In case you've ever ran into the same issue that I have on occasion, where in Visual Studio 2008 you right click on a project and no longer see the "Add Web Reference" option... you need to read the following blog post:

It explains how to add a web reference (as opposed to a "Service Reference" ) if you are experiencing the same thing.
